MTN Nigeria Communication (MTN) Project
Project title: Solar System for Micro Cells & Repeaters
Site location: Issa Williams Street Victoria Island Lagos, Nigeria.
Design overview
A leading GSM telecommunication giant, MTN communication Nig Ltd has decided to benefit from free energy from the sun. This long overdue considering the erratic power from the national grid and the escalating price of diesel. However for MTN to live up to her bidding and slogan as the best connection, they needed a reliable and uninterrupted power supply for their power sensitive telecommunication equipment which could be provided by solar energy. This alternative apart from its reliability is, environmental friendly and cost effective.
Rubitec has just completed in 2003 a pilot installation for one of their site; the system is design for 3 days autonomy.

National Programme on Immunization (NPI) Project
In an attempt to completely eradicate polio and other communicable diseases in Nigeria, National Programme on Immunization (NPI) supported by UNICEF, WHO and Rotary International ordered the supply of 2 unit of Solar Vaccine refrigerator to all the 774 Local Government area in Nigeria; this is to strengthen their cold chain logistics system for vaccines.
Rubitec solar has been playing a major role in this project. We are not only involved in these supplies but also the major contractor handling the installation of these units nationwide. In the last two years, we have successfully installed over 600 units across 11 northern state of Nigeria, Oyo and Lagos state and Federal Capital Territory (FCT)
Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Project
Project Title 1. Pilot project for Utilization of solar Energy in Jigawa State (Solar Household Systems, Community Centre, Battery Station, Street Lights).
Shell Nigeria
Rubitec is assisting shell to bring development to the communities in the Niger-Delta area of Nigeria by providing Solar water pumping systems.
